Actually, I think this was my Girl Scout uniform.
I'm introducing silly knitting patterns because we need a little more fun around here. Not weekly, as the title implies, but occasionally. Actually, I own enough silly knitting patterns (an inheritance from my grandmother) to keep up a weekly feature for, oh, two or three years, but one must be cautious with one's stock.
How would you caption this fine image?

I'm looking at the overall image and wondering if there was actually a time when people didn't wear tank tops, short shorts, and flip flops to amusement parks, or if that is just a figment of someone's imagination.
Be green. Please unravel, I mean recycle.
I'll take two boxes of thin mints please!
Oh dear! What a knitting project!
I still think vests are just dreadful.
I'm pretty sure I had a vest like that, in cream. We all did: misshapen and covered with pills. You just wear what everyone wears; wait a few decades and your girls will shriek in horror at the clothes they loved back in 2012...
Didn't we have mirrors in the 70's?
I think it's quite fetching actually.
Caption: "Well hello sailor, do you want to feel my ribbing?"
Good lord, those pants are knitted too, aren't they?! That's a bit "little-house-on-the-prairie-ish".
Giant girl scout seen at county fair!
I never knew the Jolly Green Giant had a girl friend.
That is a very groovy outfit.
Where's my crocheted belted bathing suit? I've been very patient Crabstick!
